Why we support
Each purchase made through Art of Giving donates much needed funds to worldwide charities
THEY NEED YOUR HELP
Art of Giving supports a variety of worldwide causes and with every sale of art or merchandise purchased from our online shop, our exhibitions, events and through our competitions, much needed donations are made.
GAWPT is one of the first charities we supported at an event in 2009 and again in 2010. John Rendall, a Trustee of and active fundraiser for GAWPT, shared his experiences of taking a lion (Christian) to George Adamson for rehabilitation in the Kora National Park, Kenya, in 1970. GAWPT work to raise awareness of the plight of lions in the wild, to educate the world on how to increase their numbers, stop suffering, educate local communities and to bring an end to poaching. The shocking truth is that 40 years ago there were 200,000 lions in the world, today there are only 30,000. In the same period, the numbers in Kenya have declined from 30,000 to 2,000. John is a fervent fundraiser and animal conservationalist and this is why.
